Brewing note:
This tea is very sensitive to hot water. Please brew at 170F, far below boiling. To best enjoy the floral, honeysuckle, passion fruit and honey notes of this tea, a warm water temperature is best.

Our single estate, premium Sencha is grown in a volcano tea garden in Kagoshima, on the island of Kyushu, Japan. For more than 800 years, Zen Buddhist monks have used Sencha as a meditational drink. Generations of families have stayed true to their roots to grow and increase healthy local work opportunities through tea.

Acidic volcanic soil is perfect for tea plants. Our garden is one of the few that is able to produce authentic Sencha to the standards of international regulation including safe and organic cultivation, no pesticides, and no heavy metals. They work on a microbiological level to ensure the highest standards in quality, food safety and hygiene for their team and the beloved product.
